It's sad, but true. Most guys who try their hand at online dating are going to end up very frustrated with the results that they get. Instead of getting to hook up with the woman of their dreams like the commercials all seem to insinuate, they are just going to get one failed attempt after another. There are a lot of mistakes that men make that you need to be completely aware of so that you do not get the same reactions that most men do when it comes to online dating. One of the shortcuts to success in any thing in life is to find out what does not work and then avoid that route by all means.
Here are 4 classic examples of why online dating does not work for most guys:
1. They join on an internet dating site and hope that the unreal will happen.
By unreal, I do not mean that it is unreal to expect to meet a great woman. But, they expect that they will do it almost the moment that they log on and get started. Well, that does not happen like that at all. You do have to exercise some patience when it comes to online dating, just like you would not expect to meet a woman in a bar the first 5 minutes that you are there.
2. They are not forthright when they reveal their bio on an internet dating site.
Just because you are online does not mean that you should try and invent fake stuff about you just to make yourself look better to a woman. Even if that were to get you SOME attention, it would not be the good kind. The moment she found out that you were lying about yourself, good bye to you!
3. They are too eager to move things too quickly.
This happens even in the offline world, but it is even more of a wedge when you do this online. Let's say that things are going good and you have a chat with a woman that excites you. Well, if your first reaction is to want to meet right away, you are going to come off as too eager. Sure, some women won't mind, but to be honest, the higher quality ones will.
4. They make it obvious that they NEED to have someone in their life.
All you have to do to see evidence of this is just have a look at the way the average guy writes out his profile on a dating site. It usually screams out that he is desperately seeking someone to be in his life. Do that and you are going to push away most women and have a hard time.
